Nobel Giant Spinach is a great heirloom that forms large spreading plants that are slow to bolt. The huge, thick, pointed leaves are smooth and dark-green. The heavy yields will ensure that you will have enough to eat fresh from the garden and more for freezing and canning.
Peas and beans will provide your spinach with natural shade when planted together. Spinach also gets along well with cabbage, cauliflower, celery, eggplant, onions and strawberries.

Planting and Care: Directly sow seed into fertile soil in full sun as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring. Plant successively every 2 weeks before the hot weather and long days of summer. Can be planted in the fall, allowing time to mature before first frosts. Provide average water and fertilize when 3″ (7.5cm) tall. Germination temp: 55-70 deg. Plant in partial shade or use row covers if needed to protect from sun and wind.
Harvest: Cut or snap off outer leaves as needed or cut entire plant as a bunch.
