Mexican Poppy
This extremely drought tolerant annual loves the sun and is easy to grow. The large, deep orange to golden flowers with darker centers and fine silver-green foliage are native to Mexico, California and southern Arizona. This is a vigorous species and is sometimes seen in vast drifts of brilliant color over hot and dry hillsides. The Mexican Poppy subspecies has a distinct darker center then the California species.
