Description
Mountain Garland
This showy, annual, California native, is easily grown throughout the United States. It is often found in woodland areas where the quick-growing mass of pink flowers is sure to catch the eye. The interesting flowers in shades of pink and white to reddish-purple are displayed along tall, waxy stems. Mountain Garland is most attractive when planted en mass and will re-sow in the right conditions if seeds are allowed to reach the soil. Will grow in full sun or partial shade in most soil conditions and prefers lower nitrogen levels. These blooms make excellent cut flowers when teh stems are cut with some flower buds still left to open near the top.
