Description

Blue Lake Bush Bean Seeds are probably the most widely grown heirloom bush green bean. Known for the abundance of smooth, round meaty pods, this snap bean is delicious eaten fresh and also great for canning and freezing. These bush beans are small, self-supporting plants which produce for three weeks or more.

Beans enrich the soil with nitrogen for heavy nitrogen users like corn and grains. Plant beans with carrots, celery, chards, corn, eggplant, peas, potatoes, brassica (mustard family), beets, radishes, strawberries and cucumbers.  Keep your beans away from alliums.
