Firewheel, Blanket Flower
This is a sun-loving, drought-tolerant species with bright daisies of red and gold rays around maroon centers. Easy-to-grow, collect the seeds and re-sow for more plants. Dead-heading flowers will prolong bloom time. Direct sow in late fall for early spring germination, or plant in pots 6 weeks prior to last frost date and transplant outside or direct sow after all danger of frost is past. Firewheel, Blanket Flower is somewhat deer resistant.
