Description
Black-Eyed Susan is a naturalized biennial that bursts with brilliant yellow flowers with maroon centers on tall stalks and will often bloom within the first year. Many song and game birds feed on the seeds and the plants can be used in erosion control mixes, for landscaping and in wildflower gardens. This species will overwinter in many zones and will grow in a wide range of conditions. Take care not to overly sow with too much seed. The basal rosette of leaves will form first with the flower stalks developing often the first season.
